This is a gorgeous vintage Deering Deluxe that is in great shape.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description
This was the top of the line for Deering Banjos at that time and is definitely a quality instrument.
This has I believe a walnut neck and resonator.  I’m not actually certain about that so if anybody knows for sure please let me know.  What I do know is the wood on the resonator is beautiful and some of the figuring tells me it could be walnut.  The fretboard is ebony with snowflake position markers.  There is black binding on each side of the neck and white binding on each side of the resonator with w/b/w/b/w binding on the back (white with 2 black pinstripes).  The hardware is nickel and this is all original.
This is definitely a quality banjo and the fact that it has aged has really helped the sound. This has a dark sound with good volume and the banjo also feels great to play.  There are no spikes and no 5th string capo.  This also includes a hardshell case.
Condition
This is in great shape.  We professionally clean each banjo that comes through here and this has been fully disassembled and cleaned before being set up.  The hardware looks great.  This still has a lot of glow.  The finish looks great also.  There is some button scratching on the resonator but it is only visible if the light hits the resonator at the right angle.  The neck and fretboard are also clean.  The frets show some very minor wear but it is minor at worst.  This banjo was well taken care of and the case is also clean.
Set Up
This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has a new Huber frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is a Grover and the banjo has correct intonation.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings.  This banjo is set with nice action and is fully adjustable.  This is a great banjo for the money and the fact it is vintage is a huge plus.  This also has been set up so this is a wonderful player that will really be fun to work with.
