Description
Geoff Stelling has made some of the finest banjos in the history of Banjo.  He was inducted into the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame last year and is retiring from building this year.  There will be no more Stelling Banjos.  This has caused a great deal of interest in his banjos and they have essentially disappeared.  We are literally combing the earth to find these just to have them available.
This has a thick maple shell with a curly maple neck and resonator.  The fretboard is ebony with a Sunflower inlay pattern.  There is w/b/w binding on the neck and resonator.  The hardware is all original including a Stelling one piece Ribbon Flange and a no hole Stelling Tone Ring.  This banjo is exceptional and all original and includes an original case.
Condition
This is in stellar condition and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse.  The Banjo has been disassembled and all of the hardware has been buffed to a shine.  The finish has been waxed and also shines.  The fretboard has been cleaned and oiled and the frets are in great shape.  There was once a 5th string capo which has been removed and has left a couple of pin size holes in the side of the neck.  There are no spikes but we can add those if you want.  This is in great shape with a clean original case.
Set Up
This has also been set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.  The head is a new Huber Frosted head and is set to 90.  The bridge is the original Stelling Bridge and the intonation is set.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this is a stellar player as well.  This is definitely a phenomenal banjo that has been prepared for peak performance.
