    This is a 1987 Stelling Sunflower 5 string Banjo with Original Case and some original Case Candy.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

    Description
    Geoff Stelling is regarded as having made some of the finest Bluegrass Banjos in history.  He has recently retired which has caused his banjos to become very hard to find.  This is a relatively early example of a Stelling Banjo that is cleaned up, set up and ready to go.
    This has a Curly Maple Neck and Resonator each with nice flame in the wood.  The fretboard is ebony with a Sunflower inlay pattern.  Geoff Stelling not only makes top notch instruments functionally these banjos are also works of art.
    The hardware is nickel and all original including a Stelling One Piece Ribbon Flange and a Stelling No Hole Tone Ring.  Stelling Banjos are LOUD and that no hole ring is a significant factor in that.  This is all original and includes an original Stelling Hardshell Case.  This also has some original Stelling Paperwork and a Vintage Stelling Bumper Sticker.
    Condition
    This is in great shape and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has been disassembled and all of the hardware has been buffed with a high powered buffer to a shine.  The metal looks fantastic.  All of the finish has been waxed and the finish is in great shape and shines as well.  The fretboard has been cleaned and oiled and the board and frets are in exceptional shape.  There are spikes at frets 7,9 and 10.  The case also is in excellent condition.
    Set Up
    This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  The head is a new Huber Frosted Head and is set to 90.  The bridge is the original Stelling Bridge and the intonation is set.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this banjo is a phenomenal player as well.  This is legitimately a top quality, professional grade banjo that will impress and is cleaned up, set up and ready to go!
