This is an ULTRA RARE Gibson JD Crowe Blackjack with a V NECK PROFILE.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description
The Gibson JD Crowe Blackjack is an RB75 with copper flashing on the hardware.  The copper flashing produces a type of bang and pop that cuts like no other metal.  These are insane in the “Peel the Paint off the Walls” department.  These are also super rare and this one has the rare V neck profile which is definitely more desirable.
This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell with a mahogany neck and resonator.  The fretboard is rosewood with a custom Blackjack inlay pattern.  All of the hardware is copper flashed and the tension hoop, tone ring, armrest and tailpiece are all engraved.  This is all original and in really good shape.  The copper is in great shape which is a big deal on these.  A lot of these all of the copper has worn off which is a big deal.  This really has the bang and pop that someone would expect out of this banjo.  This also includes an original Gibson Hardshell Case.
Condition
This is definitely in excellent shape.  The hardware all looks fantastic and we did clean this at the shop.  The fretboard has been cleaned and oiled and all of the wood waxed.  The frets have minimal wear and there are spikes at the frets 7,8,9, and 10.  The original case is also super clean.
Set Up
This has also been set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90.  The bridge is a new Huber bridge which is set to correct intonation.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action is set wonderfully.  This banjo is loud and oozing with tone and is a phenomenal player.
