    Trader-BOB's MUSIC offers a Vintage "Acme Professional",  5 String (Nylon Strings) Banjo. Made by SS Stewart circa 1900, and sold thru Sears, & Roebuck.  120 years old.  Amazing condition. A PLAYER. New La Bella 17, nylon strings, new bridge, and a new "No Knot" tailpiece. All the rest of it looks original.  20 tension hooks, all the hooks, shoes, and nuts match.  11" goatskin head. Wooden body, with rolled "German Silver" clad, on the outside. I did no restoration, on this banjo. Lightly polished, and  restrung. There is wear on the finish of the back side of the neck, near the peghead, from normal playing.  The 22 fret, non reinforced neck, ( looks like cherry wood), has .022" bow, measuring it with my guitar neck relief dial indicator. 27" scale length. There is wear on the fret board, and fret wires. Violin style, tapered tuners, all work well.  The four on the headstock, all match, (natural wood color), and the fifth string tuner is black. This was not the fancy, inlayed model.  I found a 20 hook, comparable model in my 1902 Sears catalouge, on sale, for .75.  I have included, in this listing, a newer, chipboard style, three hinge, (center one leather), three latch case, that this banjo fits quite nicely into.
