Antique Vintage Banjo tailpiece TALON in very good condition Washburn George

Description

This is a  5 string Talon banjo tailpiece  off a George Washburn banjo . Its antique dating to 1890 s.  very good condition ,no repairs , no damage , the plating has worn off,  a lot of exposed brass. The talons  are not damaged and capable of holding steel strings but it was designed for gut to be attached to the other string holders in the rear. The  hanger bolt is original and screws into the body, which is unique to the early models , its threads are good  nothing bent and the lag bolt that goes to the perch is also original. The nut is not Original .... hey it doesn't fit!!!! and is the incorrect thread . I threw it in because I took the original which is one of the 16 for sale in my other listing , I lost one end of story..... So don't go  tightening  this one without retaping ,its on for show, about two turns. This is a great tailpiece for a player and restoration .
