Description
BACON & DAY MONTANA SILVER BELL NO. 1 TENOR BANJO – circa.1927 REF#3281. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.Rim, resonator, fretboard and peghead covered in ivory colored celluloid. Peghead, heelcap and fretboard engraved and painted, white holly neck, Soft Pedal knee mute.
Natural finished 2-piece maple neck with center strip, cream finished maple rim and resonator, integral f-hole flange, white-bound 24 fret pearloid covered fingerboard with engraved floral position markers, ~10-15/16" skin head, 24 brackets, notched tension hoop, Silver Bell tone ring, B&D soft pedal knee mute, lever stamped "PAT. PEND." fancily engraved headstock overlay reads "B&D / Montana / Silver Bell" , pearloid headstock underlay and back strapping,friction tuners with ivoroid buttons, Oettinger "finger" tailpiece, armrest, inside of resonator stamped "PAT. DEC 20th, 1927".
