Crown Devon "Ch George of the River" Dalmatian Dog Wall Plaque

Designed in the 1930's for Crown Devon as part of a series of nine "Champion" Dogs, this Dalmatian wall plaque really is quite something!  For starters, he is in fantastic condition for  piece of pottery that is in the region of 80 years old and has the most beautiful glazed finish.  Then there is the art work, which is of a very high standard.  Just look at the detail in that eye and the pink around his mouth.  A fine example of Art Deco English Pottery.  The plaque measures approximately 6" tall and 7" across.  It is in excellent condition with great color and no chips or cracks and only some very minor crazing which I can only be seen with magnification.  See photos for details.
