Description
Information about Framus Banjos:Banjos in all configurations were very important in American country & western music as well as in the English skiffle scene, from which many diverse folk, blues, and beat musicians emerged that defined the world rock and pop scene in the sixties and seventies.
Framus recognized the signs of time early on and presented the first banjo series at the Frankfurt music trade show in 1957. After the Dixi model 6/74 followed the Standard series 6/274 and Rhythmus series 6/174. After the success of models like Old Time Gold, Solist, Texan and the Nashville-N-Line the production of banjos was stopped in 1977.
The manufacturing of high quality banjos was resumed only through special orders until the early 1980s late.
