Scarce Gretsch Blue Sparkle Tenor Banjo. Unknown manufacture date but looks to be post-war sometime in the 50's or 60's. The banjo appears to be original except replacement skin head, bridge and strings. The neck is straight. It is about 32" long; 10 3/4" head; 3/8" laminated wood rim; friction pegs; post-war 6-place adjustable tail piece; painted fingerboard with dots. The banjo weighs about 3 lbs. A decorative blue sparkly veneer adorns the peghead and encircles the wood rim. Photos provided as part of the description. Comes in a Geib chip-board case that has some stains. Sold As Is.
