Jimi Hendrix came out of New York in the late 60's.  Discovered by Chaz Chandler (Bass player for the Animals looking to manage new talent) invited Jim Hendrix to London where he got the Jimi Hendrix Experience together with Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell.  They recorded and released their debut album "Are You Experienced?" in 1967 and proceeded to take England by storm.
Jimi Hendrix was then invited to perform at the Monterey Pop Festival in America where he pulled out all the stops and blew everyone away.  Playing with his teeth, between his legs, behind his back and bringing the performance to a climax with his now worldly famous "
lighting his guitar on fire
" and smashing it to pieces in a ritualistic sacrifice.
People were stunned as they had never seen anything like that before. Jimi Hendrix and the Experience then proceeded to take the world by
storm releasing two more studio albums that quickly raced up the charts.  Axis Bold as Love and Electric Ladyland. Jimi's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock was also a testament to his influence on a generation. His creativity changed the landscape of music as we know it and the world will never be the same. This collectable t-shirt is a celebration of his accomplishments in such a short amount of time.
