Pre War Tenor Banjo Mother of Pearl
This is a gorgeous Pre War era 4 string Tenor Banjo made out of a material many call Mother of Toilet Seat.  This is a synthetic that looks like mother of pearl.  This is fully inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description
This has a gorgeous wood resonator with a really attractive design on the back.  The shell is also maple and this has nickel hardware.  The neck is either maple or mahogany and this has a mother of toilet seat fretboard.  This is a material that resembles mother of pearl and was used often in the 1930's.  The banjo is all original with original tuners that have pancake buttons.  The tailpiece is an original Presto tenor tailpiece that is unpunched.  This also has a tone hoop.  The tailpiece does not have the original cover.
This also has black binding on each side of the neck and a strip of black binding on the resonator.  The flange has bowties stamped in which looks great.
This is definitely a really interesting and really attractive banjo that has a lot of history and vibe to it.  This also includes a hardshell case which is for a standard 5 string banjo but this fits perfectly in the case.
Condition
The only serious blemish on this is a crack that is on the side wall of the resonator which I have pictured.  Some of the binding on the resonator is separating off of the wood which is also pictured.  The binding separation effects nothing and the crack was professionally repaired.
Besides that the banjo is in really good shape.  The resonator is very clean considering this is nearly 100 years old!!  The hardware looks fantastic and that is the original hardware.  The back of the neck has some finish wear which also effects nothing with the function.  The banjo has been refretted and the frets are in really good shape.  This is a really clean banjo that looks fantastic and has the old Pre War vibe that so many are looking for.  The case is also clean.
Set up
This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has a new Huber Frosted head by Remo that is set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is a Grover tenor bridge that has an ebony cap.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings.  This is set up with comfortable action that really produces a lot of sound!!!  The banjo also has correct intonation.  This would be a fantastic addition to anybody's collection and is an overall clean banjo that plays and sounds great!!!!
