    Description

    For your consideration are 15 John F Stratton's Steel Banjo Strings.  This box and strings were advertised in 1903 and I have seen others state on blogs that there are pre World War 2.  John F Stratton lived from 1859 to 1912, however the company may have run after his death.  These strings are made from the finest Birmingham steel, extra plated and guaranteed not to rust.  There are 14 in the envelopes and 1 that is just wound.  The envelopes are No 186 1/2 and marked 1st.  Not sure what the wound one is.  Rare find to find these old strings in original condition.  The outside box is dented and torn on one corner but still holds all the strings securely.
