Richelieu Master Mute for Tenor or Plectrum Banjos

Description

This Richelieu Master mute can be used on any 4 string banjo -- tenor or plectrum. It mounts on the strings between the tailpiece and the bridge. Moving it closer or further from the bridge changes the sound dramatically. I have been told that they are more commonly used on tenors to reduce the overtones generated between the bridge and the tailpiece. This one is in excellent condition. I know that it looks copper color in the pictures but it is really bright chrome or maybe nickel. There is no plating loss at all.
