Description

THIS AUCTION LOT CONSISTS OF: One original Trianon Ballroom folder with interior photo of partying servicemen. Built at the corner of Third & Wall in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood in the 1930s, this ballroom served the dancing public for decades. All the top touring big-bands played here -- and the building still stands. These photo folders were common back in the day -- a photographer would work his way around the ballroom, snapping photos of people, then ask if they'd like a copy to keep as a souvenir. After they paid him the fee of .25 he would run back to his studio, print copies, run those back to the ballroom and deliver prints to his customers. Today these are scarce artifacts.
