Sold As Is As Found. Vintage Vega Style K Banjo Mandolin. The head has a folk art drawing of a US government mule and is allegedly “signed” by a wild and fanciful cast of characters ranging from the 1920s black boxer “Battling Siki” to Annette Kellerman, an early competitive swimmer and pioneer of synchronized swimming and the one piece bathing suit for women ( look it up) also the suffragette Carrie Chapman Catt. I don’t know if any of the signatures are real or just some musicians having fun and riffing on public figures of the day. There are other fanciful signatures such as Judas Iscariot so who knows. A wonderful folk object in any case. No authenticity is claimed for the signatures. The instrument is being sold as is with no returns.
