Vintage 5 string banjo circa 1920's Maybell /Slingerland  open back with quality 5  string conversion neck,set up and ready to play. 10 3/4 " pot with original  bacon style tone ring,new  renaissance head, original hardware. in good shape, maghognay  neck conversion done using original dowel stick and matching serial numbers, , new  geared tuners,new no knot tail piece, new strings,  adjustable truss rod, set up for claw hammer style , finished in  laquer. 1920's pot with original hardware is very clean with original patina. beautiful and clear sounding  original suspended  donut style tone ring was a higher grade model and is great for  claw hammer or bluegrass style . Beautiful sounding and easy to play. sold without case
