Vintage Chinese Jade 2 1/4" Bi Donut & Stone Elephant Wrapped w Red Silk Threads

Offering a vintage piece of donut shaped jade wrapped in red silk strings.
This came from my great aunt's estate and I think this is supposed to be a lucky charm. It has a small carved stone elephant hanging in the center. The elephant is also green jade. The wiring this elephant hangs from appears to be gold plated but the content is not marked anywhere that I can see.
The jade stone Bi is wrapped with red silk threads that hang in loops at the base and on the top are knotted and braided.
The jade is a light green color and the donut measures 2 1/4" in diameter.
