Vintage Crystal 10" high Ruby Wedding Pedestal Compote/Candy Dish w/ Lid
Although unmarked, the piece is believed to be Westmoreland Glass, Pattern #1874. Possibly Indiana Glass. I have had a hard time determining which.
Vintage wedding box dates from 1940s
Stair step design on lid and base
The red glass appears to be hand painted
Bottom of dish and rim of lid have a teardrop design
Measures approximately 10" h w/lid x 5.5" square at widest on the dish w/ lid. The base is 3.25" square. The lid is 8” diagonal. Small chip on top lip of base, see photos. Lid covers it. This is the only flaw noted by me.
The piece is heavy and weighs nearly 4 lbs.
Pedestal Compote/Candy dish is in Excellent Condition based on age.
