Vintage Gibson Keith Banjo D-tuners

Vintage Gibson Keith Banjo D-tuners. These were specially manufactured for installation and sale on Gibson Mastertone Scruggs model banjos. Exactly the same construction as standard Keith tuners and manufactured by Bill Keith’s Beacon banjo company. Typical Keith banjo d-tuners are stamped “The Keith Banjo Tuner” on the top of the stainless steel housings. These tuners are instead stamped “The Gibson Banjo Tuner” on the housing. In addition the ivoroid tuner buttons have “Gibson” inscribed on one side of each button. These changes were reportedly done so the tuners could be used on the Scruggs endorsed banjo models due to past ill feelings between Scruggs and Keith.
Tuners are in excellent condition and operate smoothly. Postage includes insurance.
