This is a Beautiful Japanese Made Hohner LE Artist Vine Banjo.  This has been inspected, cleaned and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description
The 1970's in Japan were a time of high quality standards in musical instrument production.  This banjo is absolutely a top quality instrument with some beautiful artistry on the neck and fretboard.
This has a thick, multiply maple shell with a mahogany neck and resonator.  The fretboard is rosewood with a gorgeous vine inlay and deluxe binding on each side of the neck.  The headstock also has inlay work and this is a real head turner.  The neck heel is carved as well which absolutely sets this off nicely.
This has chrome hardware which is all original including a 2 piece flange and a full size 20 hole tone ring.  This banjo absolutely pops with a lot of rich tone and nice volume.  This is absolutely beautiful and also includes a deluxe TKL archtop hardshell case.

Condition
This is in beautiful condition and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse.  The hardware has been disassembled and has been buffed to a glow.  The wood has been waxed and also shines.  The fretboard has been cleaned and oiled and that also really pops.  The frets are in incredible shape and it appears this was barely used if at all.  This could be explained by the fact this does not have spikes or a 5th string tuner and there never was.  This banjo was clearly barely touched and the case is also in great shape.
Set Up
This has also been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has a new Huber Frosted Head which is set to 90.  The bridge is a Grover Bridge and is correctly set.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the banjo plays great.  This is definitely prepared to be a true cannon and fun banjo to play.
